The downflow principle forces clean air over the operators head and shoulders towards the floor. Air is exhausted by the low level exhaust and either recirculated through the downflow booth filtration system, or exhausted to atmosphere.

The downdraught prevents airborne dusts and vapours caused by weighing and dispensing operations rising into the operators breathing zone.

The quality of the air is to ISO 14644-1 and Federal Standard 209 E.

Where the handling of toxic or harmful chemicals is required, we can provide a single pass extraction downflow booth to extract to atmosphere.
